A hidden natural

Welcome to the
Camping du Brec

A stone’s throw from the medieval village of Entrevaux, on the edge of a lake surrounded by mountains, lies the Camping du Brec, an idyllic base for exploring the natural beauty of the Southern Alps..

Our campsite is simple but has everything that you need for an enjoyable stay: big, shady pitches all with electric hook-ups, recent shower blocks, fully equipped rentals, a lakeside snack bar, free canoes and kayaks….

Dive into the lake, marvel at the mountains’ reflection, play pirates and castaways with the kayaks, build a den by the Var River Robinson Crusoe style… Imagine your own adventures in this natural playground.

Follow the short path along the river from the campsite to the medieval village of Entrevaux through the sun-drenched landscape of olive groves and craggy mountains. Set off from the campsite on a rafting trip that swirls past the ramparts and under drawbridge of Entrevaux. Step on board the Train des Pignes for a slow journey through Provence and back in time.

Explore the great sandstone boulders of the Grès d’Annot, whose crannies and chestnut trees hide the legendary King’s Chamber and the Queen’s Balcony. Take in the natural wonder of the sheer Gorges de Daluis … All within 15 minutes from the Camping du Brec.

For a day trip, enjoy the alpine peaks of the Mercantour National Park, its high mountain passes, la Cayolle, Allos, la Bonette, the phenomenal Verdon Gorges, the numerous wild swimming canyons of the Southern Alps, the high and middle mountain hiking tracks, as well as the glamorous Cote d’Azur- from Cannes to Monaco.

“A refreshing lake, an ultra-friendly welcome, shade, a snack bar with its foot in the water, peace and quiet or water activities, unbeatable value for money – in short, just perfect for the base camp of a stay in a region where there is so much to do.”

Wonderful! Great spaces, impeccable sanitary blocks and very nice owners who really care about their guests. Thank you, we will be back!

LThe simple and authentic welcome, the bellowing of the deer at night that we loved to listen to, this magnificent little lake right next to it, this sublime nature, surrounded by mountains, one feels a more than peaceful atmosphere!
